Our History

It all started here

JOD Group decided it was time to expand and purchased a little known waste management company in Widdington.

Clearing existing waste

when the site was purchased, we also inherited in excess of 35,000T of waste from the previous user, we knew this had to be rectified and cleared in order to start a fresh.

Laying Foundations for the Site

Once we had a clear slate to start over with, it was time to start building... We began laying concrete and developing our facility.

Restoration and completion of cells 1 and 2

We managed to achieve what no one else on this site had been able to over the past 40 years and restore and complete cells 1 and 2 and return the landfill back to farmland.

Investing in new processing plant

As the business started to grow, we needed to invest in a new processing plant.

Upgrading our Fleet of Machines and Trucks

As things got busier it was time to start upgrading our fleet of custom-built trucks all designed to fit under the low 10ft3 bridge into site.

New Branding for Widdington Recycling which can be seen across all the lorries and vehicle.

Refining The Brand

It was now time to bring the whole company in-line with a new cohesive brand finish.

Sustainability

At Widdington Recycling, we are always striving to improve our waste management practices in order to be more sustainable. We have invested in new equipment and infrastructure that allows us to recycle more materials than ever before. We have also implemented strict policies to ensure that all of the waste we handle is properly sorted and stored. This has not only helped us to be more efficient, but it has also reduced our environmental impact.

In addition, we have worked hard to restore the land around our facility. We have planted trees and grasses that help to stabilize the soil and prevent erosion. We have also created a nature reserve that is home to a variety of wildlife. We are proud of the progress we have made, and we will continue to work hard to protect the environment.
